Andrei Covatariu

When Andrei Covatariu steps into the “radio world”, his electronic music story can be told. Encouraged by his family’s passion for music, Andrei starts work at “Radio Orizont Medgidia”, where he hosts a weekly clubbing show, under Tiberiu Cristian’s supervision. He also becomes his high-school official DJ at proms and other shows. In the autumn of 2007, Covatariu arrives in Bucharest, as a student. He is the “Bavaria’s Club” resident, and becomes afterwards, in 2008, part of the “Twice’s Club” DJ team. Cosmin Duru helps Andrei join the “Nights.ro” magazine team, where Covatariu writes news and chronicles about gigs, and hosts a weekly podcast. The DJ can now interview top clubbing icons, such as DJ Optick, Adrian Eftimie, Pagal, Rosario Internullo, Vania, Mara, etc. Starting September this year, Andrei is the “Friday Nights @ CFM” host, a radio show resulted from a nice fusion between “Radio CFM Constanta” and “Nights.ro”. When on air, Covatariu invites techno icons into his studio, but also promotes young talents (DJs and producers).
